On September 21, 2021 – the International Day of Peace – the largest local youth peace education initiative, ever, kicks off with high schools and youth service clubs in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US.
Peacebuilding starts with our youth! Our goal is to provide the YPA program to every high school in District 6930. To raise both awareness of this bold initiative and the funds necessary to make it a reality, District Governor Michael Walstrom is kicking off The Governor’s Walk for Peace: One Million Steps in a New Direction!
Education on the YPA program will begin throughout the district, and over social media, culminating in a 180-mile walk the full length of District 6930, from Titusville to Boca Raton, beginning on January 8th, 2022.
