District Governor

Introducing our District Governor – Jula Babbit

Jula Babbit is District Governor (2024-2025) for Rotary International District 6930. In this leadership role, Jula is responsible for leading clubs, inspiring members, and engaging with members and the general public.

A dedicated and long-time leader within Rotary, Jula also served as District Governor in 2018-2019. Her district level efforts also include serving as insurance representative, Rotary Youth Services chair, and Assistant Governor Area 8. She has also served on the RYLA committee since 2016 and is a RLI discussion leader for District 6930. Jula has also served in positions beyond the district. She served on the Florida PETS executive committee both as the Secretary for two years and as the HOF chair for three years. Jula also served on Zone 33/34 committees.

At the club level, Jula served as Charter President and is a current member of the Eco-Friendly Rotary e-Club, which was chartered 2020. She also was a member of the Rotary Club of Indialantic since 2009. She has served her clubs in a variety of leadership capacities, including President, Secretary, Youth Services chair, Social Media chair, New Generations chair and on the Membership committee. Julia is a MajorDonor and member of the Paul Harris Society, Polio Society, and Bequest Society, Level
2.

Julia was born and raised in Massachusetts where she earned her degree as a mechanical engineer, later working as a machinist at the Starrett Company in her hometown. She also earned a degree in computer information systems. She was married to her husband Clint for 42 years, prior to his passing. They have a beautiful daughter Traci, a son-in-Law Tim, and two amazing grandchildren Madisyn and Hunter. In addition to her passion for Rotary, Jula’s hobbies include traveling, fishing, reading, and gardening.
